Detail Draughtsman

Shatterprufe - January 1973 – January 1995

I joined Shatterprufe in 1973, where I was involved in the designing of tools, dies, jigs and checking fixtures. I also prepared artwork used to silkscreen logos and emblems on glass. During my time with the company many interesting projects were undertaken. I was also involved in the designing of polyurethane moulds for bumpers, dashboards and door mouldings for the motor industry. All this work was done manually on the drawing board. In 1992 the company moved to computer-aided design using AutoCAD as a design package. I was retrenched in 1995.
